Our story

From the till to the cloud

We started where business happens: at the counter. Everything we've built since has followed what our customers needed next.

    It started at the counter

    Maple Technologies was founded in 2010 to build point-of-sale and back-office software for businesses that had outgrown the cash book and the spreadsheet.

    A suite for whole businesses

    Customers asked for more, so the software grew: restaurants and bars, retail shops, stock, accounts, rental property and hotel front desks, all in one suite.

    Selling and managing on the move

    Mobile apps put the till and the manager's dashboard on a phone, so owners could see their business from anywhere.

    Today MapleCore brings it all together on the web: one connected platform with payment integrations built in, and complete back offices for property, insurance, lending and more.

What we believe

Software should make the numbers clearer, not harder

  • Enter it once. A sale, a rent payment or a loan repayment should update everything it touches, without anyone re-typing it.
  • Clear numbers, as they happen. Know what you have, what you're owed and what you owe, today rather than at month end.
  • Controls that protect you. Permissions, approvals and audit trails, so every change is recorded and every account protected.
  • Honest about what it does. We describe what MapleCore does today, and say "coming soon" when something isn't ready yet.
